The NFL has handed down its punishment for the Deflategate scandal and Patriots fans are not happy.

Though the official NFL report still has the words "more probable than not" in it when referring to quarterback Tom Brady's role in the post-season scandal, the NFL has handed him a pretty harsh punishment.

The Patriots quarterback will be suspended for four games to start the 2015-2016 season.

The Patriots quarterback will be suspended for four games to start the 2015-2016 season and the team will be fined $1 million

But it's not just Brady getting punished. The team will also be fined $1 million and will lose a first-round pick in 2016 and a fourth-round pick in 2017.

Some feel this is extremely harsh, considering the report never seemed to show cold, hard facts.

It did identified two Patriots employees -- officials' locker room attendant Jim McNally and equipment assistant John Jastremski -- as the ones who executed the plan.

Brady has repeatedly stated that he did not know about the efforts to deflate game balls, but last week's Wells report found his statements to be "not plausible and contradicted by other evidence."

Still many Patriots fans are looking for more facts and evidence that the report never seemed to have.

And yet, the league has doled out their punishment like the entire incident was black and white. So to start the season, Brady will be on the bench.

New England is very likely to fight the NFL's decision, so you may hear more on this story as the summer goes on.

If Brady is suspended for the home opener it could get a little weird, seeing as the team would typically be celebrating their Super Bowl win with a banner raising ceremony.

How would you want to see the team handle the home opener instead?
