A lot of things are closed right now due to COVID-19. Much like many playgrounds here on the SouthCoast, the parks and rec centers are closed down in Tampa Bay. Even though they are closed, however, they are patrolled by park staff. Imagine the look of surprise on that staff member's face after seeing the unmistakable face of the greatest football player of all time.

In a million years, you'd never expect to see the future Hall of Famer working out in the middle of a public space, but that is exactly what happened over the weekend, according to the mayor of Tampa Bay.

These are desperate times for everyone, apparently.

Park staff politely asked Brady to leave the area for safety reasons. I can understand why. The last thing Buccaneers fans need is for TB12 to contract the coronavirus weeks after signing with their team. Can you imagine the frustration that would mean for the team who hasn't won a Super Bowl since before the Iraq invasion?

Brady has been staying at Baseball Hall of Famer Derek Jeter's mansion. He has mentioned that the Tampa home has slightly less privacy than he is used to enjoying. It's funny to think that Brady probably felt he'd be more secluded conducting his workouts in a shut-down public park than in the backyard of Jeter's mansion.
