The new Twin River-Tiverton Casino has been given the go-ahead to be open 24-hours a day. The Town Council in Tiverton voted in favor of that on Thursday Night. It had been proposed that when the casino opens on September 1st, that it would close at 1 a.m. on weeknights, and at two-o'clock in the morning on weekends. According to heraldnews.com, Twin Rivers will transfer the license from Newport Grand the Tiverton casino when it opens. But that license is not for 24-hour operation. The Thursday vote will allow that to be changed.

The new casino and hotel is located very close to the Tiverton/Fall River line on William S. Canning Boulevard. The casino will have 1,000 slots, 65 gaming tables along with a restaurant, night club and food court. The 85-room hotel will be located to next to the casino. There will also be a parking garage.
