New Business Takes Over Former Tokyo Restaurant Spot

If you have been travelling Route 6 between Fairhaven and Mattapoisett, you've probably noticed the construction project at the former Tokyo restaurant. The building has been completely renovated inside and out.

Now open is 143 Market. The name comes from the store's location of 143 Fairhaven Road in Mattapoisett. The business bills itself as a grocery store, deli, butcher shop and the home of prepared meals as well.

On 143 Market's facebook page, you'll find a menu of  hot TOGO sandwiches and dinners. The small menu looks very inviting and offers a good variety. The page invites customer to enjoy the sandwiches at one of their inside tables, but says the hot dinners are for take out only.

I've driven by the store several times in the past few days and the large parking lot seems to have quite a bit of activity. Looks like they are off to a good start.
