Gather your friends and family, and strap on those roller skates for a packed day of fun on wheels.

The Silver City Skating Club, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Taunton, is gearing up for an exciting event that promises fun, education, and support for the community. Led by the dedicated Tayla Gamache, chairman of the fundraising committee, the club is all set to host the 'Skate Into Pride' fundraiser on May 31st at Forrest’s Family Fun Center, located at 1R Lawton Street in Taunton.

This event is not just about skating; it's a celebration of diversity, inclusivity, and community spirit. By collaborating with numerous local organizations, the Silver City Skating Club aims to create a welcoming space where families and kids can gather resources and learn about the various supportive entities within the community.

One of the highlights of the event is the participation of several local organizations, including LGBTQ+ South Coast, Plymouth Pride, PFlag Attleboro, Speaking of Hope, Health Imperatives, and many more. Representatives from these organizations will be present to distribute resources and engage in discussions about their missions and services.

In addition, the 'Skate Into Pride' fundraiser welcomes everyone with entertainment for all ages. Attendees can groove to the beats spun by the event DJ, get creative with face painting activities, and even take a selfie or family photo in front of the colorful balloon arch crafted by Madame Balloons. Lastly, you'll even get a chance to win enticing raffle baskets, each valued at $100 or more.

For Gamache and the entire team behind the Silver City Skating Club, organizing events like 'Skate Into Pride' goes beyond fundraising; it's about creating a positive impact and building a stronger, more connected community. As they lace up their skates and prepare for a day of celebration, they invite everyone to join them in embracing diversity, spreading love, and skating into pride.
