A Goldendoodle in Taunton had to be rescued by firefighters from a 25-foot well Tuesday morning.

CBSBoston reported that the dog's owners had called the fire department after their Goldendoodle, Buddy, went missing.

They had initally thought the dog might have been stolen from their yard on Tremont Street, but also noticed that the tire and wooden cover that usually rests on top of their well was missing too.

When firefighters arrived at the home, they found the dog was at the bottom of the 25-foot well and had to use a ladder belt as a harness to secure him, then sent firefighter Jared Jackson down a ladder to retrieve Buddy.

Happy to say Buddy was brought out of the well safe and sound and remarkably suffered no injuries.
