Take a ‘Long Dam Walk’ in Dartmouth
Have you been sticking with your New Year's resolution to get more exercise? Join Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust (DNRT) for a challenging hike!
The Long Dam Walk will take place on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. On Monday, January 21, Mike Labossiere and a group of DNRT staff and volunteers will lead a 6.5-mile walk through several properties, including DNRT's Ridge Hill Reserve, the Southeastern MA Bioreserve, and Copicut Woods. Attendees will also be able to walk across the Copicut Reservoir Dam, which is not normally open to the public! Prepare for uneven terrain; wet, rocky, and rooted areas; as well as inclines. This walk takes approximately three and a half to four hours.
Space is limited and pre-registration required. Sign up HERE or call Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust at (508) 991-2289. Meeting location and details will be emailed to registrants before the walk. Sorry, dogs are not allowed on this hike.
