Let me not get overly excited about this event, although it's the perfect mixture of everything that's amazing. I haven't been able to check out the Buttonwood Park Zoo in too long but I remember how much I absolutely loved seeing all the animals.

Yes, I'm putting this event on my calendar for sure. On Saturday, September 28, Tails and Taps is happening at the Buttonwood Park Zoo in New Bedford. They now include tastings this year. It's all part of the Fall Brewfest.

I have yet to see an event where I can have food and beverage samples from all over the SouthCoast in one place. I have lots of catching up to do. Then, add the fact that I can check out the new red pandas that are at the zoo and I'm in heaven.

Actually, the Buttonwood Park Zoo has added lots of new exhibits since the last time I've visited, and is in the midst of a $22 million upgrade.

What's really neat about this event is that proceeds from Tails and Taps (and tastings) will go to support the Zoo's commitment to global wildlife conservation, community impact, and ensuring the highest quality animal care.

Tickets are reasonably priced, too. It's just $40 for general admission.
Now the event is 21-plus because there will be alcoholic beverages served. Thankfully, I just became legal a few years ago (hey, a guy can dream, right?).

If you need more info or want to get your ticket now, visit the Facebook event page. Hope to see you there.
