At a press conference Wednesday morning, New Bedford officials unveiled a 22-point plan focused on increasing the supply of housing to address the growing cost of housing in the city.
Carl Alves, a member of New Bedford's HOME coalition, said the group is 'exploring new and innovative approaches to housing, as well as promoting new housing opportunities for all residents in the region.'
A new community organization called H.O.M.E. (Housing Options for Momentum and Equity) is enlisting help from area residents to come up with solutions.
New Bedford-based organization Positive Action Against Chemical Addiction, or PAACA, has been helping people with addiction problems for nearly 40 years.
