Tabor Academy Graduate Dies in Caribbean Snorkeling Accident
MARION - A recent graduate of Tabor Academy in Marion has passed away in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Tucker Francis had been serving aboard the school's schooner "Tabor Boy" to assist with the REEF program in the Caribbean when he died while snorkeling in St. John.
According to Head of School John Quirk, the Tabor Academy school community has been notified of Francis' death.
In a statement on the school's website, Quirk says "While we are working now to get more specific information about the accident, our hearts are broken."
The school will soon begin working with Francis' family to honor his life.
