Survey Says: People Are Already Christmas Shopping

It's the middle of September, technically still summer...yet there are people shopping for Christmas already!A new survey from CreditCards.com found that 14% of people have already started their Christmas shopping! That's just in stores though, shopping online is higher at 18%.

The survey found that people with kids are twice as likely to start their shopping earlier than people without kids. 23% of people say they expect to finish their shopping by the end of November, that's not TOO abnormal. A small 2% of people, which translates to about 4.6 million people, are already done with their shopping! An industry analyst at CreditCards.com had this to say, “We love to complain about stores putting up holiday displays earlier and earlier each year, but the truth is that millions of Americans start holiday shopping long before the first Christmas tree appears in a store.”

I guess there isn't too many last minute Loren's out there...I have never started my shopping before Thanksgiving and I always start my shopping about 1 to 2 weeks before Christmas...sometimes I'm that person out on Christmas Eve getting my last minute gifts!
