All of the mail stolen from Dartmouth residents in mid-December has been returned to its rightful owners.

According to the Dartmouth Police Department's Facebook page, the last items of mail were returned December 31 by Dartmouth Police detectives.

Dartmouth Police arrested Nicholas Lewis, 25, of New Bedford on December 29 in connection to the mail thefts.

Police do not believe there was any identity theft related to these thefts, but are encouraging those effected to continue to monitor their credit history for any suspicious activity.

Along with the Dartmouth mail, investigators also recovered pieces of mail belonging to Westport residents. Investigators plan on turning over custody of those items to Westport Police next week.
