A single-car crash Friday on Interstate 195 in Mattapoisett killed two people, identified as twin brothers from Rhode Island.

State Police from the Bourne barracks and Mattapoisett Police responded to the scene just after 11 a.m. on Christmas Eve and found a 2012 Honda Accord crashed into the median.

State Police say it is believed the car struck some trees at the 32-mile marker before crashing.

The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office identified the two men inside the vehicle as 33-year old Alberto and Ruddy Morales of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Both were transported to St. Luke's Hospital and pronounced dead.

The crash closed a section of 195 westbound for two hours.

The incident continues to be investigated by State and Mattapoisett Police, and the State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Unit.
