One person is dead after Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo experimental rocket plane crashed in the Mohave Desert this morning.

Virgin Galactic says was caused by an "in-flight anomaly” during a test flight.

On a positive note, a second craft out flight testing today, WhiteKnight Two, did land safely.

Virgin Galactic has been working on flights to the edge of out space, some 62 miles from the Earth. They are hoping to offer clients these kinds of flights in the future, though I'm sure this morning's crash will set those plans back a bit.
