Southcoast Open Air Market Returns to Somerset
The SouthCoast Open Air Market returns to Somerset this weekend with something for just about everyone.
With over 100 vendors, this market is where it's every Saturday. Yes, you read that right. The open-air market will take place every Saturday through October starting May 14.
If you haven't been, then you are missing out on some of the best shopping of locally owned businesses around. Never mind there will be food trucks and, yes, tons of fun stuff for our pets, including the Woof Woof Pet Boutique on site.

So where exactly is this market taking place?
On the first Saturday of each month you can visit the market at Chich Marchand Memorial Park. Every other Saturday, you can drop in at Slades Ferry Park.
The hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every week.
I'd go for the live entertainment and I'm not just talking about the live music on stage. Many of the vendors have live demonstrations of how they create the items you can purchase from their tables.
Getting to see our neighbors in action and supporting them by shopping is an all-around win-win.
Weather for opening weekend looks like it might cooperate, so let's get out there and support these vendors.
In case you may have started up your own business and are interested in being a vendor, the market is still accepting applications on its website. The market also accepts applications for volunteers to keep the major operation running smoothly.
Parking for both locations is at Grace Bible Church on Riverside Avenue.
Look forward to seeing you there.
