I’ll admit it. I was that kid who was afraid of their shadow. Every Halloween, I would muster up the courage to partake in the haunted hayrides or watch the scary movies, and then I would spend the next few nights hiding under my covers from the monsters that were most certainly trying to get me.

Even as an adult, I jump very easily (a trait my husband loves to abuse). I absolutely love the fall and I love the spooky season, but sometimes, I need a calmer experience that keeps the scary stuff at bay.

I am the proud aunt of two nieces and four nephews, all under the age of 7. I am certainly not taking them to The Haunted Trail just yet, but I want to get some "cool Auntie points" and partake in “not-so-scary” Halloween activities.

I'm looking for the treats, not so much the "tricks".
