
Artists Wanted: $20K Opportunity in Massachusetts Now Open
Calling all artists! Your SouthCoast creation could be on display for thousands to see.
The locally-made art installation will be suspended in a main stairwell at The Quest in New Bedford.
"We request the artist prioritize an eye-catching sightline of the artwork seen from the first floor entry area of a three story building," the description reads.
What Is The Quest?
The Quest is described as an enterprise hub, "supporting the development of innovative businesses, entrepreneurs and organizations."
The 5,000-plus-square-foot workspace, comprised of conference rooms, private offices and common work areas, is managed by the New Bedford Economic Development Council.
The NBEDC is a nonprofit organization that works local, state and federal partners to support job growth and creativity in the city of New Bedford.
The artist or team chosen will be given a $20,000 budget for materials, labor, transportation, meals, etc.
How to Submit Your Proposal
- Email your complete proposal to DATMA Selection Committee at info@datma.org
- Subject line: “Call for Art: Suspended artwork”
- Artists must submit their preliminary proposals electronically as a single PDF document (maximum 10MB).
**Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered. All materials should be clearly labeled and organized.

Key Deadline and Installation Timeline
All proposals must be submitted by Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
