‘The Sopranos’ Stars Give Honest Review of Rhode Island Italian Restaurant
An Italian restaurant in Westerly, Rhode Island, must be on Cloud Nine after hosting two of the most famous Italians in pop culture last week.
Longo Ristorante & Pizzeria welcomed Michael Imperioli and Stephen Schirripa to its quaint spot in historic downtown Westerly. You may know the pair better as Christopher Moltisanti and Bobby Baccalieri from the groundbreaking HBO Series The Sopranos.
When you get The Sopranos stars dropping by, you serve up the best, and from the looks of it, Longo’s delivered.
Longo Ristorante Pizzeria
Located in historic downtown Westerly, Rhode Island, Longo’s serves quality Italian cuisine.
“Our experience was created with more in mind than food,” the restaurant said. “Our ristorante takes a snapshot in time when every Sunday dinner at Grandma's was a family event.”
Known for its cozy, casual atmosphere with a lively dining space, all meals are cooked to order with fresh ingredients. Lovingly called the "Longo Family Experience," the food adheres to traditional Italian fare.
That’s all well and good, but what did Imperioli and Schirripa think?
Sopranos Stars Give Longo’s a Thumbs-Up
Longo’s shared a video to their Instagram of the two actors giving their honest opinions about their dinner.
“The sauce is (expletive) great,” Imperioli said with a plate of pasta in front of him that was almost gone.
“This is the best meatball you will ever, ever eat anywhere,” Schirripa said as he enjoyed a bite of meatball with a piece of fresh bread.
Compliments don’t get much higher than that.
These men have undoubtedly traveled the world and enjoyed their fair share of Italian eateries, but according to “Christopher” and “Bobby,” the absolute best spot is right in Rhode Island.
