New Coffee Lounge Ready to Open in Somerset

The time has finally come. Something has been brewing in Somerset, and a new coffee/bar is finally ready to open.

Society Coffee Bar is ready to open its doors on County Street, offering not only high-quality coffee but also perfectly curated cocktails.

The owners, Keith and Debra  Viveiros, look to blend the charm of a coffee shop and the allure of a cocktail lounge under one roof.

Meet Keith and Debra

Keith and Debra Viveiros are the proud owners of Milestone Realty. Originally, Society Coffee Bar was created in Taunton as a non-invasive way for their realtors to meet with clients.

It combined an old dream of Keith’s with his present business, but quickly, Society Coffee Bar took on a personality of its own.

“Originally, the coffee shop was just the cherry on top (of Milestone), and then it exploded,” he said.

Society Coffee Bar Expands to Somerset

Keith was ready to explore his passion for coffee. He felt the stars had aligned when he was presented with the chance to buy the building that previously housed St. Micheal’s Credit Union in Somerset.

It gave the Viveiros a chance to bring their passion project to life and show even more of the SouthCoast that Society Coffee Bar was a place for good coffee, good drinks, and good vibes.

What to Expect at Society

“The entire staff is extremely excited about setting a new bar, locally, with regards to coffee culture and nightlife,” said Keith.

This won’t be your typical coffee shop. Expect a modern lounge atmosphere with locally made menu items and handcrafted coffee drinks that are tailored to your specific tastes. This is the kind of place where you can get your favorite coffee in the morning, and then meet your friends at night for mouthwatering cocktails in a relaxed, chic setting.

Society Coffee bar will be a society of caffeine and cocktail lovers who admire quality and aesthetics above all else.

"We are extremely excited and proud with the completion of Society Coffee Bar," said Keith. "We sincerely hope that all expectations are exceeded."
