See Inside One of the Most Photographed Homes in Hyannis
If you've ever taken a ferry to the islands out of Hyannis Harbor, then you may have seen this Barnstable home with its personal lighthouse.
It's actually one of the most photographed homes on the Cape and now you can peek inside because it's for sale.
The beautiful, blue, three-bedroom house has hit the market for $3.995 million dollars and is everything a tourist would imagine when they think of Cape Cod.
The 107 Channel Point Road home in Barnstable may look historic, especially with its own lighthouse on the water. Yet it was only built in 1978 and the lighthouse doesn't function.
In fact, the lighthouse is an extension of the house. It has its own sleeping space and bathroom, so on summer nights you could sleep out there. Or maybe rent it out to adventurous travelers.
A much more luxurious night's sleep happens inside the house, of course. Here you get the feeling of living on a fancy yacht, without ever actually hitting the water.
The primary bedroom on the second floor has a private deck overlooking the water. The living room features a wall of sliders opening to Hyannis Harbor and you get 270-degree views of the surrounding water.
Even though your wraparound deck and steps-away sandy beach will have you feeling like you live away from it all, some of the area's best features are just minutes from the front door.
Restaurants, museums, parks and libraries are all around you, not to mention the numerous beaches throughout the area.
As you can see from the photos below, just staying home is pretty awesome here, too.
