Seaside Estate for Sale in Barnstable Is What Dreams Are Made Of
A seaside estate in Barnstable has something for every member of the family.
It's a dream home -- if you can afford it.
Coming in at $30 million (perhaps the most expensive home on the market in Massachusetts), this Cape Cod property has all the amenities you could want.
Let's start with the fact that you would have 280 feet of private, sandy beach (basically your own oasis); over 3 acres of amazing land; a resort-style swimming pool; and an outdoor terrace for grilling and sunbathing.
There's even a separate house on-site where staff could live or guests could stay.
That's just the outside. Oh, yes, you better believe there's more.
Inside this estate, you will find seven bedrooms, a golf-simulator room, massage room, a gym, seven-car garage and, my favorite, a 5,000-bottle wine cellar, all in the village of Osterville.
"Magnificent landscaping sets the stage, with specimen trees and lush plantings that offer total privacy across 3.66 acres," the listing states. "Designed in perfect harmony with its surroundings, virtually every room has ocean views and direct access to the outdoors."
This dream of a home is listed under licensed real estate broker Paul Grover, who shared some info on the property with Fun 107.
Grover said the home's first and current owner, an entrepreneur in the energy and aerospace industries, put it on the market in mid-January.
As for how long the home will be on the market, Grover said he can't be sure.
"The high-end market remains very strong on Cape Cod and the SouthCoast, even with such little inventory," Grover said. "Now that summer is on everyone's mind, we're entering what's historically the busiest time of year for the Cape market, so we'll just have to see what happens."
Good stuff to know.
In any case, if you dare to dream of what it would be like to live in this home, here are some amazing pictures Grover provided thanks to JFW Photography.
