Roger Williams Park Zoo Announces Free Admission Day After Christmas
If it's been a while since you've last visited Roger Williams Park Zoo, a post-Christmas event could give you the perfect excuse to change that.
New England's oldest zoo plans to keep the holiday spirit going and host Free Admission Day on Saturday, December 27, 2025.
From 10am - 3pm, visitors can bundle up and explore the park at absolutely no cost, though one specific donation is strongly encouraged.

Free Admission Day Details
Throughout Free Admission Day, Roger Williams Park Zoo is hoping all visitors will bring along a non-perishable food donation for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.

Many local families rely on the Community Food Bank during the holiday season, so restocking the shelves after the season passes is extremely important. Donations made on Free Admission Day can greatly help.
If you can fit Free Admission Day into your post-holiday schedule, however, the zoo has another beloved winter deal running from January 1, 2026 - February 28, 2026.
Winter Wonder Days Offer Half-Priced Admission
For all of January and February, guests can enjoy half-priced admission as part of their annual Winter Wonder Days. Days when everyone is encouraged to layer up and see some of the zoo’s 100+ animals in cooler temperatures.

Great for getting kids out in the coldest months, the zoo’s winter hours will adjust to Thursday through Monday 10am - 4pm. They will also open each day of Providence’s school vacation week, February 16-20, 2026.
So if a trip to Roger Williams Park Zoo has been on your to-do list for too long, plan a trip this winter when several deal days will help make that trip easier on your wallet.
