A Whimsical Gnome Hunt Takes Over Roger Williams Park
Each spring the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center gets filled with magical fairies, but this fall the gnomes are taking over.
Starting on November 1 more than sixty gnomes are hiding among the 150 different species of plants inside New England's largest public indoor display garden. Guests are encouraged to find them throughout the greenhouses and if you happen to find the golden gnome, you'll even score a prize.
However, even those who don't find a single gnome will still find plenty of family fun at the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center all month long for Gnome-vember.
Once the Halloween activities have passed and the Christmas displays are still coming together, take the trip to Roger Williams Park Zoo for a family friendly gnome hunt throughout some seriously gorgeous gardens.
Why Gnomes Belong in a Botanical Garden
Gnomes are the perfect mythical creatures for gardens. Known in folklore to be the protectors of nature, it's no surprise these bearded spirits are hiding in a botanical garden all month.
In addition to searching among flora and fauna for adorable, little gnomes, the botanical center has "mystical activities" planned throughout the month as well.

There will be a capella performances in the greenhouses, gnome trinkets and gifts for sale at the gardens and every weekend will feature Saturday Storytimes, where gnome-tales will be told.
A perfect way to get out of the chilly fall air while still enjoying nature and screen-free family time.
