MARION (WBSM) — A Rochester woman has been arrested after she allegedly fled the scene of a hit and run while driving under the influence Friday morning.

Allyson Lagasse, 45, is charged with operating under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, two counts of leaving the scene of property damage, failure to stop for police, disturbing the peace and destruction of property.

According to Marion Police, Lagasse also received a citation for not having her license in her possession.

On October 20  at approximately 11:09 a.m., Marion Police were patrolling the area of Front Street near Ryder Lane when the officer noticed a vehicle in the roadway, a damaged street sign, and pieces of what appeared to be a headlight in the road.

According to the driver of the vehicle in the roadway, a red Ford sedan crossed over the yellow line and struck their vehicle. The same car reportedly later hit a second uncopied vehicle nearby just shortly before leaving the parking lot. The driver allegedly traveled over a mile before eventually being stopped by police.

Lagasse was scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Wareham District Court.
