Witches Paddle in Rhode Island Returns to Wickford Harbor October 20th
If there is only one fall-inspired activity you do this season, it should be the annual Witches Paddle in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, on Sunday, October 20th.
Every year, families flock to Brown Street in historic Wickford Village to watch a parade of witches, adorned in their best witchy attire, as they switch out their broomsticks for paddle boards and kayaks.
It’s quite the sight and offers a memorable experience for the entire family.

Witches Paddle 2024
Every October, the Kayak Centre in Wickford, Rhode Island calls upon local witches, ghouls, and goblins to take part in its Witches Paddle to benefit the North Kingstown Food Pantry.
The Centre has pledged $2,500 to get things started, and with the help of participants, the event can supply the pantry with a hefty donation.
What to Expect at Witches Paddle
On October 20th at noon, witches and warlocks will launch from Public Access beach next to Gardner’s Seafood Wharf and Wilson Park. There will be a costume contest, where the best witch, best warlock, best-dressed pet, and move creative/original will be crowned.
