
Provincetown Sets the Scene for Anthony Bourdain Biopic, Local Extras Wanted
Anthony Bourdain is getting the biopic treatment.
The celebrity chef and travel documentarian was known for his unfiltered storytelling as he explored the world and its eclectic cuisine. He traveled around the globe, but his love of culinary arts bloomed in Provincetown, Massachusetts, and it’s where his biopic by A24 kicks off.

Dominic Sessa to Portray Anthony Bourdain
According to Variety, Dominic Sessa will portray Bourdain alongside Oscar nominee Antonio Banderas in Tony.
Most recently, Sessa starred in The Holdovers, the golden globe-winning movie that was filmed in both Fairhaven and New Bedford.
For Sessa’s newest role, he puts on the chef apron to portray a young Bourdain that has a “life-changing experience working and living in Provincetown, MA.”
On his Emmy Award-winning series, No Reservations, Bourdain talks about the life-changing moment that will no doubt be a crucial part in his upcoming biopic.

When a dishwasher didn’t show up for work in the 70’s in P-Town, Bourdain’s career began.
“The next day I put on the apron and I didn’t take it off for thirty years,” he said.

How to Be an Extra in Anthony Bourdain’s Biopic.
Last week, Boston Casting, Inc. put the call out for “real restaurant kitchen staff with dynamic, unique personalities.”
Experience working in a kitchen is preferred, but no prior acting experience is required.
It sounds like Hollywood may be coming to P-Town this summer to begin production.
According to outlets, cameras are set to roll next month.
