That One Winter When Michaela Was a Scary Snowman in Providence [VIDEO]
The recent snowfall had so many of us feeling like kids again as we played in the snow. I was one of them.
My husband, kids and dogs joined me for some snow day fun: making snow angels, having snowball fights, and of course, making a snowman.
My kids decided to name ours Benjamin. He was given a cowboy hat, yellow scarf, a googly eye (we could only find one in the craft bin) and a carrot nose.

Remember When...
Sharing photos of Benjamin and seeing creations from other friends, family and followers, made me reminisce about one particular snowman from my past.
It was 2012 and I was in my second year co-hosting The Rhode Show on WPRI 12 in Rhode Island.
My assignment at the time was to interview the guys behind the viral videos of Freaky the Scary Snowman.

At the time, the videos racked up millions of views. Click after click, fans couldn't get enough of the jump-scares and terrified reactions.

Inside the menacing snowman is a person, waiting for just the moment to strike. So naturally, I wanted to try my hand at spooking some pedestrians, and boy was it fun!
Pro tip: let the onlookers come to you.
Wait until they get up close to snap a photo or inspect the snowy sight, then BAM! A spook (and a laugh) means you've done it right.
