Providence Rugby and Gazelle Guest Bartending Tonight in Seekonk
Thank God it's Friday and after a long week of work, it's the perfect night to grab a pint (or two).
If you're looking for some evening plans to kick off the weekend, I have just the night out for you.
In the busy-bee town of Seekonk, right on the Rhode Island border, is an Irish pub by the name of Dublin Rose. Good vibes, delicious food and even better drinks. Tonight the Providence Rugby Football Club will be crossing the Little Rhody line into Bristol County territory to take over the bar.
Both the women and men's club members will be gathered about, while a select few of us will actually be pouring your drinks and relieving that week-long stress you've been hanging on to.
As a matter of fact, we not only invite you to join us, we encourage it.
For two hours, from 7-9 p.m., the club will be your personal celebrity guest bartenders, mixing up your fancy cocktails (well, hopefully not too fancy, we're not professionals) and of course pouring crisp, cold "brewskis" from the taps.
For every drink sold within the two hours, a percentage will be donated to the Rugby Club as a courtesy from Dublin Rose.
Money raised will help the team with travel expenses, club fees and equipment replacement. We love what we do on the field as a team and as a family, and your generosity will contribute to that bond.
Your servers tonight will be Melissa Keene and Janelle Carretero from the women's team and Shareef Gomaa and myself, Gazelle, from the men's team.
Once we are finished our time behind the bar, the party will continue until last call.
Looking forward to seeing you all there as we bring on the weekend with new and old friends.
