
Providence, Rhode Island Hosting National Curling Championship
Top athletes from across the country are sliding into the Creative Capital this weekend.
Providence, Rhode Island will play host to the 2025 Grand National Curling Club Arena Club Championship. Twenty-eight teams from around the nation will compete for the title at Schneider Arena on the campus of Providence College.
Curlers From Across the Country
The competition brings together curling clubs from New England, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast U.S. as the best of the best go head-to-head in a bracket-style competition.

Male and female teams competing in the event will play at least three curling matches.
The GNCC Area Curling Club Championship is being hosted by the Ocean State Curling Club, a nonprofit organization "dedicated to the promotion and expansion of awareness of the Olympic sport of curling in Rhode Island."

Creating a Community
Ocean State Curling began in 2009, giving those interested the opportunity to play a unique sport. The club has grown over the years, welcoming friendly faces to try something new or revisit an activity they once played.
They believe in building a strong community within the sport and even share their values on their website:

Families, friends and spectators are welcome to watch the competition in Providence. The three-day GNCC Area Curling Club Championship runs Friday, April 25 through Sunday, April 27.
