Cash Her in Providence After Bhad Bhabie Receives City Honor
“Cash me in Providence, how bout dah?”
Danielle Bregoli, also known by her stage name Bhad Bhabie, has been honored by a Providence, Rhode Island City Councilman for “her impact on the culture and her hip-hop artistry.”
The councilman, John Goncalves, presented Bregoli with a citation this week following her performance in Providence, which bills itself as the “Creative Capital.”
“As the Creative Capital, I want to recognize 50 local Providence artists this June – musicians, dancers, DJs, rappers, poets, creatives making noise and shaping culture – regardless of music or genre,” Goncalves posted on Instagram.
Who Is Bhad Bhabie?
Bregoli became an internet sensation in September 2016 when she appeared on an episode of Dr. Phil titled “I Want to Give Up My Car-Stealing, Knife-Wielding, Twerking 13-Year-Old Daughter Who Tried to Frame Me for a Crime.” She appeared with her mother Barbara Ann, and the Florida teen yelled at her mom, Dr. Phil and the entire audience throughout her appearance.
It was the audience’s taunting that led Bregoli to yell to the crowd, “Catch me outside, how about that?” but with her “street” (her word) accent, it came out sounding like, “Cash me ousside, how bout dah?”
The phrase became a viral phenomenon, spawning memes, t-shirts and hip hop songs.

From Wild Teen to Successful Hip Hop Artist
Bregoli parlayed the attention into a music career, under the moniker Bhad Bhabie. She has released two dozen singles and appeared on tracks by other artists, while putting out one album, 15, in 2018.
Her highest-charting single came out in February of this year: “Ms. Whitman,” a diss track aimed at fellow rapper Alabama Barker, the daughter of Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker.
