Prince William and Princess Kate Are Due for a Royal Welcome in Boston
William and Kate, prince and princess of Wales, will visit Boston this week to attend the Earthshot Prize awards ceremony. The prize honors the work of those working to build a more sustainable planet.
Finally, royalty is coming back to the area, and not just for one night.
The couple will be in Boston for three days altogether, hopefully taking in some of the amazing history we have in the Bay State when not honoring the prize recipients and making some other stops.
I'm pretty sure I don't need to say much about what traffic will be like in the capital city for the three days so I'd avoid heading up there if you can. If you have been up to Boston recently you know our current infrastructure isn't the best and we already have some major traffic issues so this should be fun.
Keep in mind: The city has known about the Royals' visit since July so hopefully, they have been strategizing how this is all going to happen.
As you can imagine, the couple's schedule is packed with appearances but may we suggest a SouthCoast stop or two while they are in the area?
If the Royals have some free time, where would you tell them is a must-visit place on the SouthCoast?
I'm definitely thinking some Portuguese food and maybe the New Bedford Whaling Museum to see some of our history -- as they continue making history of their own.
William is first in line for the crown. His father, King Charles III, began his reign earlier this year following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
