Possible Shots Fired in New Bedford’s West End Monday Night

NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police are investigating a possible case of shots fired in the city's West End Monday night.

Police say the gunshot detection system, ShotSpotter, alerted police to possible gunshots in the area of Pearl and State Streets. The system activated the alert at about 9:35 p.m. on Monday.

A caller also reported the possible shots fired to police.

No damage or injuries were reported in connection to the incident.
