Police in Brockton make a major drug bust Wednesday morning. 

More heroin is taken off the street thanks to the Brockton Police after they arrested a man on drug chargers and confiscated a huge amount of heroin and cash. Brockton Police along with State Troopers and other investigators arrested Jason Ribeiro, 26, of Brockton after they raided his residence early this morning.

According to the enterprise news Police seized heroin, fentanyl and about $42,700 in cash. When police entered the man's room they found him sleeping with his infant son close to where the drugs were being stored. The supply and combination of heroin and fentanyl is a deadly mix and has resulted in a surge of heroin overdoses in our area. He pleaded not guilty and was held on bail  The Dept of Children and Families is now investigating.
