NEW BEDFORD  - A pair of crimes in New Bedford's South End are under "active" investigation.

Police tell WBSM News, a man walked into the South End Police Station just after 11:30pm Friday night, claiming he had been robbed in the vicinity of 234 Hemlock Street.

Police say no firearm was seen during the robbery and the man was taken to St. Luke's Hospital for evaluation.

About an hour later, police were called to a home on Dartmouth Street to investigate a reported home invasion. There were no injuries reported, and no other details were released
