Police Arrest New Bedford Man After Report of Armed Suspect
NEW BEDFORD - Police have arrested a New Bedford man after receiving a report of a man with a gun in the city's North End on Tuesday.
New Bedford Police responded to the area of Coggeshall Street and Ashley Boulevard at around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a man approaching a vehicle with a firearm.
Police logs indicate the report originated outside of the PAACA building at 360 Coggeshall Street.
Upon further investigation, police arrested Kyle Landgraf, 20, of 289 Maple Street, New Bedford, and charged him with assault with a dangerous weapon and disturbing the peace while armed.
Police did not find a gun in Landgraf's possession, but did find a boxcutter.
