It is a day that comes around once in a century...Pi Day! When the calendar reads 3.14.15 and resembles the first few digits of the mathematical symbol pi.

For the serious math geeks, Pi Day will be celebrated at 9:26:53 (both am and pm I'm sure) so that the date and time match up with the first 10 digits of Pi. But if your not that into celebrating the day, but want to acknowledge Pi Day somehow, here are some ways to do so that are easier than Diman Regional's awesome aerial display!

    Bake and eat some pie

Duh right! Celebrating Pi Day with some actual pie has got to be the best way to do it if you ask me. You can even fancy up your baked goods by putting the Pi symbol in it somewhere. And you can bake whichever type of pie you like best!

    Do some math

Clearly a less tasty option than eating pie, but probably the most authentic way to celebrate the day. Since Pi is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, there are lots of objects throughout your house you could take measurements of to prove that. There are even sites with math activities that use household objects, so you and the kids can do some quick math while that pie cooks up!

    Take a Pi Walk

After all that pie a Pi Day walk could be a great idea! So lace up those sneakers and head out for a 3.14 mile walk/run. Lots of places are holding Pi Day fun runs, but you could just as easily celebrate yourself on a treadmill at the gym!

    Create a Pi Day song

There are several people who have made songs about the day, but this one was one of my favorites.
