Pet Owners Do Too Much For Their Pets
Let me make it clear, I have never had a dog or a cat as a pet before, so you might try to disregard my opinion on this matter. However, once you hear my thoughts you’ll realize the way people treat their pets is completely outrageous at times.
For example, I find it extremely annoying that some people sleep with their pets and they let them run wild in the house and climb on top of furniture. I would never let this happen. My grandmother has had cats for many years and she has always maintained a sense of order for her cats. The cats knew the rules of the house, so why can’t others maintain order over their pets?
Another annoying example that pet owners do is dress their pets up for different festivities. Why are you doing this to this poor animal? I highly doubt they want to be tortured by wearing ugly sweaters.
These examples of pet owners going overboard with their pets are minor, to what this woman has done. According to the Daily Mail, a woman from London spent over £4,000 (about $5,187 U.S. dollars) for a funeral service for her Staffordshire bull terrier dog. The funeral included a hearse connected to a horse, limo, and doves flying into the air.
This is a great honor for her lost pet, but I feel it’s a bit too much. Some people don’t get this kind of treatment.
It’s fine to love your pet and treat them with compassion, and I’m sure if I had a dog or cat I would love them immensely. However, this is a little too much.
Am I the only one who feels this way?
