Baby Amara Is a ‘Total Love’ in Need of a Loving Family [TUESDAY’S CHILD]
Amara is described by her foster mother as a "total love."
Her laughing, smiling and giggling has increased immensely over the past few months. She will sit in her swing and start to laugh for no known reason except that she is happy.
Amara started rolling over recently and now she rolls in all directions. She can see shadows and some color. Her hearing is excellent. She recognizes familiar voices with an immediate smile and loves to be picked up, knowing that someone will cuddle with her and give her kisses.
She has several musical toys which she loves.
Amara is now able to lie on her tummy, lift her head and keep it lifted for a few minutes.
Although she has challenges, she has progressed further than anyone thought she could at this point in time and she continues to improve.
Amara would thrive in a very calm and quiet home environment. Whatever family chosen for Amara must be able to see the beauty in this little girl despite her challenges and be able take each step with her toward her development.
Amara's birth parents will be able to have in person visits with her every other month in western Massachusetts until she is adopted. After adoption an open adoption contract takes effect and each birth parent is entitled to two visits each year with her.
