Forgot your sunscreen at home? Not a problem at one Rhode Island beach.

Local sunscreen company Raw Elements USA announced this week that they would be offering their organic and non-GMO sunscreen for free all summer at Narragansett Town Beach.

The founder of Raw Elements, Brian Guadagno, is a former Rhode Island lifeguard who developed his own safe, effective and environmentally healthy sunscreen after witnessing the affects sunscreen chemicals can have on people's health and the ocean's health.

His brand has grown over the years and earned rave reviews from users. But Guadagno has never forgotten his roots and this summer is giving back to Rhode Island beachgoers.

According to ABC 6, starting June 22nd, Raw Elements USA sunscreen will be offered at all six Narragansett Town Beach entrances as well as the town's four public parks.

So if you forget your sunscreen or just want to try this organic product for yourself, you can when you head to Narragansett this summer.

And on top of all the free sunscreen...Raw Elements USA is partnering with the Town of Narragansett and the Rhode Island Department of Health to host a Sun Safety Day on July 6th.

From 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. that Friday, those at the event can receive free skin cancer screenings. Sun safety information will also be available that day.

The company will also be hosting the Waterman Eco-Challenge at Narragansett Town Beach on Saturday July 15th.
