It's been a very busy few weeks here at Fun 107. We've been invited to take part in graduation parades all over the SouthCoast including Fairhaven, Dartmouth, Somerset Berkley High School, and New Bedford High School.

Friday night, the Fun 107 van was dispatched to take part in the graduation parade in honor of Old Rochester's (soon-to-be) graduates. If COVID-19 had not become a worldwide pandemic, Friday would have been Old Rochester Regional High's graduation day. Instead, school officials decided to punt the ball into August in the hopes that they'd be able to enjoy a more traditional commencement exercise. Old Rochester will hold its commencement exercises one way or another or August 8. They are crossing their fingers that COVID-19 cases continue their decline, which might allow for a more "normal" form of celebration for the school.

To commemorate today, the day that should have been the Bulldog's big day, Principal Mike Devoll organized a parade of cars that started in three different locations across the Tri-Town.

Rochester's parade began from Dexter Lane at 6:45 p.m. Marion and Mattapoisett parades stepped off at 7 p.m. All three parades converged on ORR's campus to end the night.

Fun 107 collected audio from the ORR faculty, staff and administration wishing the graduated the best of luck. We played the special messages on the air just before the kickoff of the parade. Families listened on the radio in all three towns. If you missed the messages, you can listen to them right here.

A big thank you to George Fearons and Oyster Harbors Marine in Marion for sponsoring Fun 107's coverage of the ORR Class of 2020 parade.
