The Obama Family Had Front Row Seats to the Fireworks Show in Oaks Bluffs [VIDEO]
If you're ever on Martha's Vineyard, there's a good chance of running into a celebrity or even a former president of the United States of America. That's exactly what happened this past weekend to a local Fairhaven woman.
On Saturday night, August 19th, Brandy Lussier and her family were hanging out in Oak Bluffs on Martha's Vineyard. They have a condo in Vineyard Haven and make it a tradition to watch the fireworks the town hosts annually.
Little did they know, some pretty important people were about to join them for the festivities only feet away from where they were standing.

Barack and Michelle Obama pulled up to a small house on the side of Lookout Tavern where Lussier was having dinner. Afterward, they planned on watching the Oak Bluffs fireworks that are held every August, rather than on the Fourth of July. The fireworks were originally scheduled for Friday, August 18th, but got postponed a day due to inclement weather.
As predicted, the crowd lost their mind once the Obamas arrived. You can even hear someone in Lussier's video say "Oh my God, I'm going to cry!"
"They (the Obamas) watch the fireworks most years at the house next door to the Lookout Tavern," Lussier explained, "It's a perfect view and the fireworks were some of the best I've ever seen."
The pyrotechnic crew launch a majority of the fireworks from a barge directly in front of the Lookout Tavern area and light the rest from the shore for a close-up action-packed show.
Be sure to keep an eye out next year. It seems as though this is a tradition for the Obama family, so there's a good chance you'll run into their motorcade. Just keep in mind, the traffic is always heavy when Obama comes to visit.
