29 Breathtaking Photos of Barack Obama’s Martha’s Vineyard Mansion
It's not every day you turn 60 years old, so we want to wish former President Barack Obama a happy birthday. He woke up this morning within the sounds of our voices. Who knows? He may have started his day with Michael and Maddie. We have heard from Vineyarders that the Obama girls are fans of the SouthCoast's No. 1 hit music station.
As you've probably heard by now, the Obamas have had to back off plans to throw the president a banger at their Turkeyland Cove Road mansion. There was concern that their 475-person guest list – which included names like Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey, and George Clooney – was just too big, considering the havoc that the Delta variant caused just weeks ago in nearby Provincetown.
Instead of utilizing the 200-person waitstaff, the Obamas said that the birthday party will now be limited to "family and close friends" only. No word on whether or not the aforementioned Oprah, George or Steven made the cut.
We may still hang out at the Airport Grill or the Whale's Tooth Parking Lot to see if we can spot any big names that may have flown into New Bedford airport and taken the Seastreak over to Vineyard Haven instead of fighting the potentially busy Martha's Vineyard airport.
We thought it would be fun to share some of the photos of the Obama's exquisite, nearly 7,000-square foot Edgartown home. It was previously owned by Celtics Governor Wyc Grousbeck until it was sold to the Obamas two years ago. The former First Family paid nearly $12 million for the island home.
