Beautiful Newport Mansion Sparkles as Outdoor Magical Wonderland
When most of us think of the Newport mansion around the holidays we think of historic holiday décor and Christmas trees towering several stories high. But one historic home along the water is lighting up their exterior too, with sparkling results.
Sparkling Lights at The Breakers began back in 2020, when most outdoor holiday light attractions began popping up across the area. Since it's inception, this event has grown and this season they have a half-mile of lights along the property's 13-acres of garden.
So bundle up, grab a hot cocoa and get ready to walk the grounds of The Breakers like you never have before.
Newport certainly knows how to glow for the holidays, from the illuminated boat parade to the massive tree lighting on Bowen's Wharf, lights are everywhere in the historic city.
But over at the mansions things were typically not-so-bright. Until now. Now visitors can walk the half-mile long garden path at The Breakers surrounded by hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights.
They call it Sparkling Lights: An Outdoor Magical Wonderland, and it sounds pretty magical.
The event features a 50-foot tunnel of lights, illuminated snowmen and reindeer, a tree of lights that constantly changes colors and they've even turned the property's Children's Cottage into Santa's Workshop that you can peak inside.
Plus you can capture your Sparkling Lights experience at their Van"deer"built selfie station or nab a s'mores kit to make a snack at one of the six firepits warming you up along the way.
For the first time ever the entire Breakers property, inside and out, will be adorned for the holidays and you can experience it all. Keep scrolling for a sneak peak of the amazing lights that await you.
