New Buffet Restaurant Coming to Fairhaven

There's a new buffet on the block in Fairhaven. Festiva Buffet is coming, but it may not be what you think it is.

With a name like Festiva Buffet you're probably thinking Portuguese buffet restaurant. But that's not what you're going to get.

The Board of Health has confirmed with Fun 107 that the former Peking Palace on Berdon Way is now going to be Festiva Buffet. And it will still be serving Chinese food.

Yes despite the name, Festiva Buffet will be a Chinese buffet restaurant.

Construction is currently underway and though they wouldn't let us poke around inside just yet, we do know they have a tentative opening date set for late October/early November.

With Ocean State Job Lot opening on Berdon Way recently and Dorothy Cox bringing her tasty chocolates to the plaza as well, things seem to be coming back to life in the strip mall.

No word on what may be popping up next over there, but as we learn about the new businesses coming you know we'll keep you posted.
