NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) — A New Bedford man has been arrested and a stolen firearm seized after police executed a search warrant at the man’s West End residence.

New Bedford Police said detectives served a warrant at 171 Court Street on May 2 at about 11:30 a.m. The target of the investigation was Shane Bradley, 21.

According to police, the search turned up a Smith & Wesson 9mm firearm reported stolen out of Webster, Massachusetts back in 2018. Police also seized numerous rounds of various caliber ammunition and several magazines.

Police also said over 500 grams of marijuana packaged for street-level distribution was also seized, along with digital scales, baggies and $1,390 in cash.

Bradley was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a stolen, large-capacity firearm with high-capacity feeding devices and ammunition, as well as possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
