New Bedford Portuguese Feast Announces 2025 Entertainment Lineup
We are just over a month away from New Bedford’s 109th Feast of the Blessed Sacrament, and there are some updates in store for this year’s guests.
While one of the biggest headlines is that you can now pay for food and drinks using a credit card, many feast-goers are asking the same question:
What Is the Entertainment Lineup for the 2025 Feast?
Feast President Carl Colangelo and Vice President John Alves shared details about this year’s entertainment on Fun 107's MGM Show.
“We’re doing things a little differently this year,” Colangelo said. "We decided not to go with one big band on Thursday night. Instead, we’re spreading out the entertainment to get high-quality acts every night.”
Which Bands Are Playing Each Night of the Feast?
Thursday Night:
Earth Wind and Fire tribute band
Friday Night:
Unforgettable Fire – U2 tribute band
Dookie – Green Day tribute band
Saturday Night:
Live Portuguese music featuring a return performance from Nelia, known for her energetic stage presence
Sunday Night:
- The Great Escape – Journey tribute band
- Crazy On You – Heart tribute band
Kids Day at the Feast
Saturday also includes a Kids Day, where children will receive free hot dogs and drinks and enjoy a surprise live act that is still under wraps.

MGM Show Live from the Feast
The MGM Show will broadcast live Thursday night from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Be a part of the broadcast and see the morning team stage left of the main stage. Be sure to listen as the feast gets closer to win your share of $1,000 in festa food tickets.
Can You Use Credit Cards at the Feast This Year?
Yes, for the first time in feast history, credit cards will be accepted for food and drink purchases. This change is expected to streamline lines and improve the guest experience.
