New Bedford’s Logan Souza Films Scenes with Sarah Jessica Parker

A young man from New Bedford is getting the experience of a lifetime acting alongside some big stars in a major production.

Sarah Jessica Parker couldn't have been more complimentary in her latest interview about the Sex and the City spinoff And Just Like That.

"Great actors, we have such great actors, and we have new actors this year," she said.

One of those new actors is Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech junior Logan Souza, and he's become fast friends with the legendary actress.

Logan Souza Plays John Corbett’s Son

Souza plays Wyatt Shaw, the son of John Corbett’s character. The new trailer dropped this week, and Logan makes a quick appearance. He's seen sitting at the breakfast table with his character’s brother, father and Carrie Bradshaw.

“We shot some scenes one-on-one,” Souza said about working with Sarah Jessica Parker.

“During the downtime, we’d talk about acting and our lives. She asked me a lot of questions,” Souza said. “I told her that my girlfriend was a huge Hocus Pocus fan, so Sarah Jessica suggested we give her a call.”

A Standing Ovation From the Stars

Souza called it “surreal” after receiving a standing ovation from the cast (including Parker) and the crew. He had just wrapped a long night of filming when he was honored.

“I was actually lost for words,” he said. “I was shocked.”

In addition to Parker’s support, Corbett praised the teen’s performance, telling him he couldn’t offer any acting advice because Souza had it “all nailed down.” Below is a picture of Logan having that conversation with Corbett on the set of And Just Like That.

Souza is expected to play a significant role in Episode 4, with a slim chance of also appearing in Episode 1.
