NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) — Police have arrested a New Bedford man for alleged drug trafficking and firearm charges following an investigation.

On Friday, August 16, police executed a search warrant at the residence of Kolby McCoy, 25, on Cove Road. Police believed a cocaine delivery service was being operated out of the home.

Police said McCoy was found to have a small amount of crack cocaine along with a digital scale, packaging material, cutting agent and over $7,000.

McCoy also had a Glock 9mm handgun loaded with 17 rounds of ammunition without a license, police said.

McCoy was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of a large-capacity firearm and possession of ammunition.
