New Bedford Dollhouse Cast In Big-Name Music Video
New Bedford's own Flip This Dollhouse announced that its work will soon be featured in a Big Name Artist's music video.
Before I tell you what big artist I think it is let's first talk about how many times the Kilburn Mill miniatures store has gotten some national attention for just how amazing its dollhouse collection is.
Owner Nathaniel Ellis said dollhouses from his store have been featured in HBO"s The Gilded Age and The Fatal Flaw on Hulu. The business also is in talks to pitch a reality show.
You want to know more about this music video, though, don't you?
So, unfortunately, we don't know for certain who the music video is for and the business can't say for certain, either, but we know dollhouses have made their way to Los Angeles from New Bedford and will be featured in the music video of a very well-known artist.
Now, I'm going to take a guess, an educated one, that maybe, just maybe, these dollhouses are for a Taylor Swift music videos. I mean, she just released an album with a bunch of songs that could fit the "dollhouse" aesthetic. Just a guess, but a good one, no?
For what it's worth, Ellis said he thinks I might be on to something with the Swift suggestion but can't confirm.
In any case, it's exciting news for a unique business, which describes itself this way:
Think of our dollhouse shop like a Rescue Shelter for dollhouses where we save doll houses, clean them up, stage them, and find them new loving homes. You can also think of our shop as an Interior Design Center for doll houses as we provide free design services with the purchase of one of our dollhouses along with furniture and accessories.
"I didn't expect any of this type of stuff to happen when I opened the shop," Ellis said of what the business Facebook page refers to as the world's largest dollhouse shop.
Well, Nathaniel, that's why happens when you have something really good going.
What major recording artist do you think the dollhouses are for? Are we going to have to keep our eyes open for all music videos coming out in the next six months?
When we know more, we'll share it with you.
