With the Mega Millions lottery jackpot growing to $850 million, it's about that time to climb aboard the money train bandwagon.

If there is a winner on Wednesday, January 20, it would be the second-largest collection in the history of the lottery with an estimated cash payout currently at $628.2 million. That's a good chunk of change if you ask me.

Now, my brain often takes me in strange directions depending on the situation at hand and will cause me "out of the box" ponderings. For example, I thought to myself not what I would do with that much money if I won?, but more along the line of what local business can I resurface from the grave?

Growing up on the SouthCoast, I've seen businesses come and go throughout the years, and some of the losses have been quite a disappointment.

Take Ma's Donuts in New Bedford for example: imagine if the former owners passed on their famous recipe alongside their business? I'd be an unsung hero in the city and across the SouthCoast. There will never be a replacement for Ma's, but if I could get the operation back up and running again, I could potentially be known as the guy whose selfless act brought back not only a staple in the community but the memories that disappeared along with the business.

With more than a half-billion dollars, there could be potential to open up multiple Ma's Donuts across the area so that everyone can have a short drive to what will forever be some of the best donuts ever baked on the SouthCoast.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you agree with me or not? Is there another business opportunity I'm missing or forgetting about? Shoot me an email at Gazelle@Fun107.com for some in-depth conversation on how you would spend your Mega Millions jackpot.
